Q.What sets Green Rock apart from other island destinations?
A: There are lots of things you can do at Green Rock! Here are some of them:
Q.How do I get there?
A: Drive along the National Highway towards Siruma Poblacion. At the end of Poblacion Road, turn left and drive downhill to Gayon Port. Then take a 15 to 20-minute boat ride to get to the private side of the island. We provide boat service.
Click here to read the detailed instructions on how to get there.
Q.How does the boat service work?
A: Our private boat will meet you at the port at an agreed time. Depending on the tide, pick-up and drop off times may need to be adjusted. We will share the possible times a day or two before your trip and finalize the schedule.
Arriving after the agreed time, depending on tide, may result in a long wait at the port.
Please note that in case the wind or waves are too high on the Pacific side, it may be necessary to dock the boat on the bay side, and take a 15-minute walk along the beach to Green Rock. The boatmen will assist with some bags in those cases.
Q.Where can I park my car/motorcycle?
A: We recommend parking your vehicles in Gayon Port near our boat pick-up point.
Q.Do you have wifi?
A: At Green Rock Island Retreat, we believe in providing our guests with an opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. We promote a digital detox experience, allowing you to truly unwind and connect with your surroundings and with each other.
To support this vision, we offer limited internet connectivity on the island.
For guests who require internet access for work or other essential purposes, we offer a premium access option at an additional cost of P500 per group per day. This allows individuals to access the internet for their specific needs while still maintaining the overall atmosphere of disconnection.
Please note that the availability of internet connection may vary due to the remote location of the island and the limitations of satellite internet. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in embracing the digital detox experience.
Q.Is there cellular signal on the island?
A: At Green Rock, the cellular signal is very weak, and sometimes non-existent. This is the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the day to day routine and reconnect with nature. In case it’s needed, a 15-minute walk along the beach to the other side of the island, is usually enough to pick up a couple bars of signal and data connection.
Q.How is the electric power supply?
A: Given our private location on the island and our desire to be environmentally friendly, we operate exclusively on solar power. There are some limitations, related to cloudy weather and power consumption, and so there are times we ask to conserve power by minimizing use of the air conditioner, refrigerator, etc. With proper use and good weather, the power supply is adequate. However, please note that occasionally the batteries may not last through the entire night.
Q.What are the check-in and out times for the rooms?
A: The earliest check-in is 10am, and check-out is at 8am. This gives us enough time to clean and prepare for the next guests the following day. Upon checking out of the house at 8am, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the island for longer by:

We also carry some basic items for sale, such as snacks, drinks, ice, fresh buko, and more.
